What's really stunning is the sensational media coverage and the National Archives' release of informants' personal data.
If it was all "meh," why was it classified for so long?
The documents weren't classified - just the portions with sources and methods were redacted. Now they are visible.
Thanks for the clarification. If they weren't classified, why were they withheld for so long then?
They weren't withheld. They just had redactions in the previous versions.
Well plowed ground. No Néw crop.
We’ll see what happens, but I think there was a fear of government embarrassment not unlike the failure to communicate in 9/11. Or the legal case basis for ‘National Security’ which was based on a cover-up of poor plane maintenance.
I tend to agree. But those documents were deep-sixed 58 years ago. And I doubt the most embarrassing bits were ever even committed to paper.
Great read regardless
Thanks!
I love this. Keep it up.
So do you think Ollie Stone will read this?
Possible. We go back a ways.
Great job, Gus.
Much thanks, Jim. Happy Holidays - I look forward to seeing you after the plague.
Agree with you, Gus
Thanks, Ron. Happy Holidays to you and the family.
