I am new to SPYTALK and will comment on Matt Brazil Story on China Losing One of thier Submarines.

I quote "An Asia-based analyst who spoke to SpyTalk on condition of anonymity pointed out that the stories in Up Media were written by a correspondent previously based in Beijing with many contacts there, implying that the details may be mixed up and partly unreliable, but that there might actually have been a serious PRC naval accident of some sort south of Dalian."

During the beginning of my career I worked at Submarine Base Bangor with Teams of Engineers onboard the SSBN 726 Ohio, SSBN Michigan and SSBN Florida the first of the three Ohio Class Submarines. One of our tasks was the Detection of fleet Russian Surface Ships and Submarines in the Pacific. Our Detection is quite advanced even back in 1983 to 1990s. The area mentioned in the article where the China Navy operates is monitored. If any Submarine went missing, ours or thiers (Russia or China) we would propably know it. That said the article based on "He Said She Said" is just that. The Navy monitors almost everthing coming at our coast lines. I think the folks in Korea, Japan and Taiwan have similiar strong Detection off thier coastline as we do.
