In a pot of stew, potatoes and carrots are distinctive. But it makes very little difference.

There should be no exceptions to the ban on the use of journalism as a cover for US covert collection. It goes against everything America stands for. We obviously can't control what others do, but we should make our objections known loud and clear. Freedom of the press is an essential element of any democratic society. To put that at risk by using journalism as a cover should be discouraged by any country professing to be a democracy.
