No mention of the classified docs Biden retained for years, and only a non-accusatory mention of Hillary Clinton utilizing an unsecured computer server to send/receive classified materials using an email account created to avoid having to comply with public records laws? 🤔

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Bill. I suppose I could've at least mentioned Biden's case, but didn't because he quickly notified the National Archives after the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago that, after directing his own search, he discovered someone on his staff had inadvertently stored a few classified docs from his days as VP at his Delaware home and the Penn-Biden Center in DC. They were swiftly returned (unlike Trump, who repeatedly rebuffed the Archives' requests, prompting the FBI raid). As for Clinton, she was never accused of the unlawful possession of classified documents, the subject of my story. It's about people who were charged (and convicted) not people who weren't.

I think you'll see him arrested when he looses the election next yr. The Ds desperately want to throw him in jail, and throw away the key, but they know that doing that to a presidential candidate would basically result in half the country not even voting, which would bring echos of the recent Hong Kong elections, where most people no longer believe the elections are fair and honest, and therefore don't bother voting.

Once Biden wins, they can lock Trump up, then imprison thousands of Trump supporters and politicians who Biden labels as semi-fascists and domestic terrorists (crimes which warrant imprisonment, fines, and most importantly, banning from elected office). Then Dems will have utterly gutted the Republican party, and the Dems will have secured the majority for the indefinite future. The Supreme Court could be a check, but with super majorities in the Congress, Senate and WH, they'll turn the courts into rubber stamps overnight.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, but you seem to be channeling the nightmare scenario that Trump is peddling his base—ironic, since he’s vowed to be “dictator on day one” and use the Justice Department to round up his critics.

Trump absolutely wants to do the same, and I utterly condemn it without exception. But Biden has the same hatred for Republicans as Trump has for Democrats, but he is better at hiding his true desires. But the simple fact remains that Biden and the Dems are openly calling their political opponents domestic terrorists. That triggers the 14th Amendment: https://constitution.congress.gov/browse/essay/amdt14-S3-1/ALDE_00000848/

I would also refer you here in regards to domestic terrorism, specifically the section titled "What Are the Penalties?" : https://www.thefederalcriminalattorneys.com/domestic-terrorism

These are NOT Fox News opinions. I am quoting straight from the 14th Amendment, and a law firm. Calling your political opponents "domestic terrorists" is a big effing deal with SERIOUS ramifications, and people need to stop taking it so lightly.

Also, one minor note, he did NOT say he would be a "dictator on day one", he said, "EXCEPT FOR DAY ONE (emphasis mine). I want to close the border and I want to drill, drill, drill". He obviously is talking about the pile of executive orders he'll pass on day one (which is legal, Biden did the same).

I hope you don't really believe all this garbage about what a Trump defeat would mean.

Carl: what choice do I have? Do you agree the Dems have been referring to Republicans as domestic terrorists? Your response should be yes (should you disagree, I would be happy to send you 2 dozen+ links of Dems saying exactly that).

So, domestic terrorist = 14th Amendment: https://constitution.congress.gov/browse/essay/amdt14-S3-1/ALDE_00000848/

People found guilty of domestic terrorism can be fined, go to jail, not be able to hold public office. These are FACTS, these are LAWS. There's ZERO opinion here.

What further proof do you want from me? I think I've laid it out clearly in black and white. No fox news bs here

If a person is proved to be a domestic terrorist by a court of law then of course they should go to jail. You suggested a new administration would "round up"" people and throw them into pokey. That is what Trump has promised to do not the Biden folks. Just so you know I am not some lefty, marxist communist. Simply a former Republican who served Regan, Bush I, and Bush II, but couldn't abide the least qualified person to ever seek the Presidency, to be elected in 2016. He has done nothing since to change my mind..

if that was what Democrats were doing, you would be correct. That is NOT what is happening. Dems are randomly calling Republicans domestic terrorists. We have partisan politicians making these claims, NOT seasoned lawyers/judges. There is a massive difference between the two.

We have more politicians freaking out over the term "vermin", an insult which carries ZERO legal ramifications, than the term "domestic terrorist", which in extreme circumstances carries the freaking DEATH penalty! Almost never happens, but the very fact that it's an option should send shivers down your spine

You say that it is Trump promising to lock up politicians, not Biden. But yet, while Trump was in office for 4 yrs, we saw few, if any Dems locked up (is Hillary in jail?). Contrast that to the amount of Republicans locked up under the Biden admin. We saw the phrase "lock her up" condemned vigorously in 2016. Many said it threatened our democracy. Do you hear those left wing orgs doing the same as those chants are used against Trump? So while Trump is stupidly threatening to lock up his political opponents, under Biden it has actually happened. I'm sorry, but actions (Biden) speak louder than words (Trump).

Finally, I don't consider you a communist (or a socialist) for supporting Biden. I respect your right to decide who you should vote for, and I condemn anyone who calls you a domestic terrorist, semi-fascist, deplorable, or tries to imprison you for your beliefs. I only wish the same courtesy was offered from the Left.

Look, Jonathan, I really do appreciate your sustained engagement on this issue, not to mention your SpyTalk subscription, but here's my last word: Your fundamental problem, as I and others see it, is your equation of the real violence Trump and his mob have committed (and threatened more of) against Democrats, with Biden's mere rhetoric against them as "domestic terrorists." They are in no way the same. Not only that, Biden's (albeit overheated) rhetoric has to be seen in the larger context of Democrats' consistent call for adherence to Constitutional guardrails and norms, in contrast to the record of Trump and his fellow indicted miscreants to overthrow the results of the 2020 election—and unleash violence against the whole of Congress for certifying them. As opposed to them, you will never hear Biden & co call for weaponizing DOJ against their opponents. In light of all this, your arguments are just silly.

how you can see calling someone domestic terrorists as "mere rhetoric" is what is causing us to not see eye to eye here. If you honestly look at that term for what it really means, and the legal ramifications behind it (I refer you to the 14th A, and that report from that law firm I linked to), I don't see how you can dismiss the phrase so easily.

That said I appreciate your time and opinion. Despite our differences on this topic, I respect your writing and the quality work that goes into Spytalk. All the best!
