As Donald Trump prepares to take his seat for the second time behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, powerful interests are competing to persuade him to adopt their various schemes for joining Israel in an air campaign against Iran’s nuclear facilities. And given the speed at which Tehran is advancing toward a nuclear weapon — and Trump’s own vow that he won’t let Iran get the bomb—it’s a critical foreign policy challenge that he won’t have the luxury of placing on the back burner.
