Whether CIA ignored signs of trouble in Korea years ago is open to debate.

Whether CIA ignored warning about the attempt on JFK's life or 911 is not. In my heart felt opinion the knew of both threats, they seem to have been not inclined to act to stop either.

Recent JFK records releases have proven beyond any doubt CIA knew of someone was planning something against JFK and did nothing to prevent it.

I firmly believe FBI and CIA knew enough about 91 to have stopped it. 41 & 43 were not buying any of it and 43 made sure Saddam died.

The answer to the question of whether or not the intelligence community spies on We the People here in the states is irrelevant at this point in time considering any time the FBI needs any info from a personal cell phone they get it. Once they get it many times they do not need to admit what they have done with the info or that they even have it.

NOTE: Local municipal police departments here in Illinois monitor phone usage by what of STINGRAY - technology, have been for years. Especially individuals related to drug crimes.

They monitor the traffic of the perps who they know by monitoring travel (cell tower signals) using Stingray. Once the police have a the info citizen X is holding law enforcement task forces which have DEA officials on those Teams from the Federal Agency. They listen and watch plan the bust and when they get drugs the prosecutors take over.

If the local cops can do this without warrant so can anyone with the same technology can do the same types of investigations.

The FBI routinely reverse engineers crimes using similar methods. These practices have long (tens years or more) been used and allows crooked cops to steal drugs they should confiscate and proceed on with what ever their plans are.

I'm just saying.
