Is the CIA ready for Amaryllis Fox Kennedy? (Penguin Random House)

THE NOC ON AMARYLLIS: Is Langley ready for a No. 2 who knocked  U.S. aid to Ukraine in its fight against Russia, blaming it on “war hawks and bankers” who want to plunder $11 billion worth of minerals buried beneath Donbas”? Or who told Al Jazeera in 2016 that we need to listen more to our terrorist enemies?  Trump is considering installing RFK Jr.’s daughter-in-law, Amaryllis Fox Kennedy, as CIA deputy director. Axios reported that RFK Jr. has been telling people that Fox Kennedy would help get to the bottom of the JFK assassination, which RFK Jr. believes was carried out by the CIA. Fox Kennedy met this week with John Ratcliffe, Trump’s pick to run the spy agency. But hold on a minute. The Washington Post reported that Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark, the incoming head of the Senate Intelligence Committee, is pumping the brakes. And there’s a reason to be concerned about Fox Kennedy’s lack of experience and truthfulness. 

Fox Kennedy has said she worked from 2002 to 2010 as a “NOC” (under non-official cover) and was assigned to keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of terrorists. The truth about what she did or didn’t do at the agency is murky, however.
