Hello All, I justed joined SPYTALK and just read this article about 9/11 which is interesting however does anyone here have any stories or information about the actual Intelligence Operations here within the US currently? Howard
You would or should understand that any current Intelligence operations would be classified and so information that might be available to those with Top Secret clearances, is unavailable to unauthorised persons. Are you talking about US operations or about the operations of the Bad Guys within the USA? If you come across such information on the enemy: what would you do with it? How would you verify such information to confirm that it was not misinformation designed to mislead? How can you trust any source? as they in turn may have been misled by others. There is much about 9/11 that has not been released, much redacted. That is not unusual. Unfortunately, Conspiracy Theories abound, shooting in the dark. As to the Current operations of Bad Guys, they are always operating currently, and the Agencies are always playing catch-up. The attacker always has the advantage and defender the clean-up. Such has been the history such as Pearl Harbor, 1993 attack on the towers, 9/11 etc. In some cases, there is vital information received on the Bad Guys which has not been acted upon for political reasons. Politics rule, not legal obligations. However, the saying applies: If you see something amiss, say something. It is the responsibility of agencies to assess and deal with the matter, whether they do or not. Big data is overwhelming to the far fewer assessors, and tests their abilities to sort wheat from chaff in a timely manner to act, complicated by any biases and restrictions from those above them. Agencies cannot use hearsay, they need you to act and investigate sufficiently enough to make any data that you come across on the Bad Guys useable. And you need to be careful.
